About Us
The Kentucky Wireless Association is comprised of individuals and companies who are involved in the maintenance and growth of wireless networks in Kentucky. The group is organized so the wireless industry in Kentucky can have a unified voice when addressing issues or opportunities and can be a source of reference for members that need assistance in specific situations.

The members’ expertise include RF, engineering, regulatory, environmental, site acquisition, construction, infrastructure, operations, project management and much more. Membership is open to anyone in the wireless industry.  We also encourage government officials involved in wireless networks or planning and zoning to participate in the organization.

Our annual golf outings have also become incredibly beneficial to our members as well as local charities.  Since forming we have raised over $50,000 benefiting groups like the Kosair Children’s Hospital Foundation to support their “Just for Kids” campaign.  Kosair Children's Hospital is Kentucky's only free-standing, full- service pediatric care facility dedicated exclusively to caring for children and is the KWA's preferred charitable organization.

Special Thanks!

A lot of work and time goes into forming a state wireless association.  We would like to thank the following people for assisting in the development process:  Steve Parker, Keith Brown, David Pike, Michelle Ward, Woody Marcum, Mike Meadows, Chad Goughnour, Kim Phelps, Brian Mefford, Roy Johnson, Doug Ford and Liz Barrow.  Thank you for your help!

Do you live in a state without a wireless association?  See how Kentucky and other states use the assistance of PCIA at http://www.swaprogram.net.  PCIA has made the process of developing an association very simple by giving you a step-by-step guide.
